Program Note: A tor is a freestanding rock formation, commonly found on Dartmoor, a mystical, arcane, and atmospheric moor very near where I grew up. Tor also means gate in German. Walking on Dartmoor and climbing the tors is something that I took for granted as a young child, but every time I return as an adult, I gain new respect for the ancient structures. They are gateways to both a primordial time, and my own childhood.
