Program Note: To the Frogs of College Lake is an aleotoric piece for wind ensemble which aims to recreate sounds heard around College Lake, Baton Rouge. On my walks to this small lake in early summer, I began to hear frog sounds that reminded me of putting your hand into a bowl of marbles and moving them around. In this piece, I aimed to capture that sound, along with the bugs, birds, and wind chimes that often accompany the frogs.
