Program Note: Your Favorite Body of Water was written in collaboration with Tyler Neidermayer, Asher Sizemore, and Tim Walters. The musicians were given a score combining text and traditionally notated instructions. They went through processes of recording sounds and responding to sounds recorded by the other performers. I used these recordings to construct the piece, and combined it with the digital artwork. While making the piece, I thought about several bodies of water that are very dear to me. I invite you to think about some of your favorites.
